The Flopside to Rare Candies

Coto panted, cycling his feet as he rode his bike up the hill. This hill in particular was quite steep but, he had experience climbing tough terrain so this was not as difficult to him as it would be to a normal person. After reaching the top Coto looked down at the small town that was on the horizon.

“Alright, almost there!” Coto said to himself. He then sped away with his bike while doing a small wheelie just for kicks.

After riding into the place known as ‘’Twilight Town’’ He parked his bike next to the local Poke Mart slowly taking in the scenery of the small town.

“This town looks kind of boring to me.” Coto said under his breathe taking a quick look. Nothing seemed to stand out about the town which was kind of disappointing to the young pokemon trainer.

Coto then entered the Poke Mart store; intending to get some supplies for his pokemon.

“Well hello there sir.” The cashier of the store said smiling. “What can I get for you today? We have a special sale for our potions!”

“No thanks.” Coto said respectfully. “Does this store sell rare candies by any chance?”
The cashier then frowned.

“No, we do not condom the sale of rare candies.” The cashier said disapprovingly.  “They are a cheap way to raise your pokemon!” He added.

“Oh well, that sucks.” Coto said leaving. He was only interested in buying rare candies these days. He then left the store and mounted his bike again.

However, before leaving the town; an oddly shaped building caught his eye. It was a gray coated building with the word “Super PokeMart”.

“Hmm…I’ve never seen a store like this before.” Coto mumbled. He marveled at the building as it looked old.

Curious, Coto entered the building. He was not surprised by the lack of light that was inside, he spotted a box at the end of an alley way.  The Pokemon trainer was interested in its contents and looked inside.

“Wow! I think I just hit the jackpot!” Coto said surprised at what he saw inside the box.It was a box full of rare candies.

Coto quickly scanned his eyes and quickly noted that there wasn't a soul inside the store. He figured he would be able to get the rare candy stash without paying a single dime.

Grabbing the small box Coto quickly stashed it within his bag and bolted out of the store and to his bike. He quickly got on a rode out of the town. His adrenaline flowing through his veins; Coto quickly looked back to see if anybody was chasing him. Luckily no one was.

“Whew! What a steal!” Coto said relieved. Now all he had to do was get the goods to his pokemon. Even though he stole the rare candies; Coto rode on with a clear conscious as he rode down the steep hill he had to climb up earlier.

Riding quite a few ways down the trail; Coto finally stopped at a large indented tree. Coto knew this tree well and smiled as he got off his bike again and parked it by the nearby road. The Pokemon trainer then walked into the woods that went beyond that tree.

After walking in the woods for a while Coto came across a small clearing. The Pokemon trainer then looked around the empty space and simply smiled.

“C’mon guys stop hiding. You’re not going to scare me this time.” Coto said seemingly to no one.

Suddenly, a few rustles from the trees and bushes started before 3 figures came out. One of them a Loppuny second, Gardevoir and finally, a Delcaty. All of them female.

The trio greeted their trainer each saying their respective names. Delcaty whom he’d nicknamed Deli even brushed up against Coto’s leg.

“Haha! It’s great seeing you too.” Coto said laughing. This was the secret spot he and his Pokemon trained.

Coto then brought out the box he had stolen from the store out. “Guess what I have for you guys!” He said lowering down the box before them.

They all looked at it with curiosity. Coto smiled as he opened it up revealing a box full of blue rare candies. All of Coto’s pokemon looked at them with amazement.

Coto began handing each of his pokemon a certain amount of them. He loved giving rare candies to his pokemon as it made them stronger with each one they ate.

Coto smiled as he saw his pokemon eating the rare candies, but something caught his eye after he had finished handing them all out.

“What’s this?” He questioned out loud looking what looked like a red wrapped rare candy. It was unusual to see a red rare candy as they were usually wrapped in blue.

Curious; Coto decided to taste it. He wondered what rare candies tasted like anyway so he unwrapped it and popped it into his mouth.

“Mmm that taste really good.” Coto said marveling at the sweet sensation of the rare candy. It wasn't long until the candy melted into his mouth.

“Huh?” Coto said as a tingling sensation covered his body. He felt very unusual as he felt himself shrinking. “Aah! What’s happening to me?” Coto shouted in shock. His pokemon suddenly turned their attention onto him after hearing him shout.

The trio of pokemon rushed to their trainer’s side as he fell to his knees. Pun the Loppuny attempted to get a hold of him but before she could touch him; Coto began to glow. The sheer intensity of the light made the pokemon close their eyes. Even Coto couldn't see a thing.

Coto felt like his whole body was re configuring itself. It didn't hurt; it just felt awkward. The Pokemon trainer felt a tingling feeling around his whole body as if hair were growing all over it. He also felt his felt his ears change as the extended more than humanly possible.  As the tingling sensation began to stop; Coto noticed he was unusually lightweight his clothes just seemed to have slipped right off of him.

“Is he okay?” Coto heard a voice say.

“I can’t tell…...it’s still far too bright to see.” Another voice said.

“Who was that?” Coto said mentally. It was weird hearing those voices. He thought that he was the only person there other than his pokemon; unless he had been followed.

As the light dimmed Coto was the first to open his eyes. He saw his pokemon was still in front of him. He scanned the area for the other voices he heard but then he noticed that everything around him looked significantly bigger.

“What happened?! Why does everything look so much bigger?” Coto said not looking at the changes that had occurred to him.

Coto’s trio of pokemon finally opened their eyes to see not a human in front of them, but a little Buneary among a puddle of clothes.

“What the!?” Deli said shocked at the sight. “Where’d Coto go?”

Coto widened his eyes upon seeing his pokemon talk! “Did you just talk Deli?” Coto asked  confused. He looked down at his ears that arced over his face.

“What in the world!?” Coto said in shock before he looked at the rest of his body. His eyes widened at the sight of  a light tan fleece that covers much of his lower body as well as a chocolate  colored fur which was spread all over his body.
“I’m a Buneary!?” Coto said further shocked.

“I think there's a possibility that is Coto” Gadrin the Gardevoir replied just as shocked.

“Awww he looks so cute!” Loppuny squeed with joy. She quickly ran over and picked up the little Buneary in her paws.

“Ahhh! Pun, stop doing that! I don’t even look remotely cute!” Coto yelled as Pun rocked him side to side like a baby in a mother’s arms.

“Haha! He does look kind of cute.” Deli teased. However, this only seemed to tick Coto off even further. He hated being treated like a baby.

“I’M NOT CUTE!” Coto yelled angrily!

All of his pokemon all laughed in unison. “Haha don’t be mad Coto. We’re only teasing.” Gadrin said to get him to relax. “How did you transform anyway?” She asked.

“It must’ve been that red rare candy I ate.” Coto answered sadly. He didn't want to be a pokemon forever.

“Don’t worry Coto.” Gadrin said in reassurance. “I hear of pokemon trainers turning into pokemon all the time and they are all temporary.

“Oh….” Coto sighed relieved.

“In the mean time we can play together Pun said still happy about Coto’s transformation even if it was temporary.

Coto sighed heavily. He knew his pokemon would be teasing and babying him for as long as the transformation lasted.

“I’m never getting rare candies ever again.” Coto said sternly.
